Audio Caption Head: Brian McKenzie

White Whale, inspired by Herman Melville's Moby Dick, shares an oceanic adventure that incorporates themes of nature versus man, philosophy, and self-destruction . In my role as an audio intern, I was able to sharpen my soldering and cable construction skills as well as handle 23 wireless mics and a 15-piece front ensemble with the rest of the audio team. Cable installation for both the front ensemble instruments and rack units strengthened my organizational skills. I also took detailed notes on changes in the mix throughout rehearsals, contributing to an efficient process. Additionally, I had the opportunity to live mix portions of the show on a dLive 3500 during the corps' Community Night in Castleton, VT.  Operating in this role gave me experience in show development for a professional touring organization and working outdoors with audio equipment in unpredictable weather conditions.
