Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a large cast, Victorian-era musical that follows the return of an exiled barber and covers themes of moral corruption, forbidden love, and revenge. In my role of Lead Audio Technician (A2), I served as the point person for any deck audio needs throughout the tech and show process. While taking charge of frequency coordination through Wireless Workbench, I delegated tasks to my team of 4 A2s and communicated with actors one-on-one. I led a team that oversaw mics for 39 actors and a 24-piece band, including handling, deployment, and troubleshooting. We kept extensive inventory documents, including an A2 Bible to keep track of any changes in miking throughout rehearsals, also accommodating for any swing substitutions. Cable management for the orchestra pit install and hand-making hair and ear rigs fell under our authority as well. Operating in the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center, Orlando's touring Broadway house, gave me experience in a large-scale environment for an audience of over 2000 people.
