Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine is a satirical comedy about the life of a successful Black publicist turning upside down, touching on themes of abandoning the past, systemic racism, and cultural identity. In my role of Assistant Sound Designer, I developed a music library with various genres that reflected the themes of the show as well as the sound designer's vision. This included exploration into jazz, hip-hop, and busking. As for the preshow and intermission playlists, my selection was based off of the emotional state of the world we were in at the top of the show versus immediately before intermission. I also served as the QLab programmer and operator for this production, directly communicating with the sound designer to have her cues realized in the space with effiency and accuracy.
